Doncaster Rovers 1 – AFC Wimbledon 2: Visitors ecstatic after win at Keepmoat Stadium

AFC Wimbledon’s Mark Robinson saw his side to victory at Keepmoat Stadium. Today’s result, Doncaster Rovers are in 20th place on the table and has 0 points while AFC Wimbledon sit in 2nd with 3 points after 1 match.

AFC Wimbledon continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Ayoub Assal in the 58th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Luke McCormick made it 2-1, at 74 minutes with a final score of 2-1.

Both coaches used the full entitlement. For Doncaster Rovers, John Bostock, Omar Bogle and Cameron John, came on for Dan Gardner, Tiago Cukur and Aidan Barlow, AFC Wimbledon brought on Aaron Pressley, George Marsh and Ethan Chislett to replace Ollie Palmer, Anthony Hartigan and Luke McCormick.

The referee booked three players from AFC Wimbledon, Anthony Hartigan, Luke McCormick and Nesta Guinness-Walker.

In the second round of action in the League One Doncaster Rovers will play against Sheffield Wednesday away and AFC Wimbledon will play against Bolton Wanderers at home.
