Rotherham United strolled past Cheltenham Town with a 2-0 win on Saturday at Jonny-Rocks Stadium. Cheltenham Town were hoping to get something from this game after losing 5-0 to Sunderland AFC in their previous fixture. Rotherham, on the other hand, were coming from a 3-0 win against AFC Wimbledon. As things stand, Cheltenham Town and Rotherham currently occupy 17th and 4th spots in the table, with 12 points and 20 points respectively after 11 matches.
After an un-eventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Rotherham who started the second half well, with a goal from Will Grigg at the 51 minute mark. The Millers then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Rarmani Edmonds-Green, 75 minutes in to make it 2-0.
Both teams used all available substitutes. For Cheltenham Town, Kyle Vassell, Ellis Chapman and Christian Norton, came on for Kyle Joseph, Liam Sercombe and Alfie May, Rotherham brought on Mikel Miller, Chiedozie Ogbene and Freddie Ladapo to replace Shane Ferguson, Kieran Sadlier and Will Grigg.
Next up, Cheltenham Town are away to Portsmouth FC, whilst Rotherham will travel to face Charlton Athletic.
