Peterborough United’s 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic on Saturday, was hard fought at The Valley. Charlton Athletic had been hopeful of continuing their run, following a 6-0 victory against Plymouth Argyle. Peterborough United were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Gillingham FC. As it stands, Charlton Athletic are currently 8th with 66 points from 44 matches, while Peterborough United sit in 2nd, with 82 points from 44.

Peterborough United started the first half well, thanks to Jonson Clarke-Harris finding the net at the 9 minute mark, to take a 0-1 lead into half time. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
