On Tuesday, Charlton Athletic and Crewe Alexandra were held to a 2-2 draw at The Valley. Charlton Athletic were hoping to get something from this game after losing 1-0 to Peterborough United in their last match. Crewe Alexandra, on the other hand, secured a point against Rochdale in their previous match. At the moment, Charlton Athletic and Crewe Alexandra currently occupy 8th and 14th spots in the table, with 67 points and 60 points respectively after 38 matches.

Charlton Athletic started strongly in the first half, thanks to Jayden Stockley finding the net at the 10 minute mark, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Crewe Alexandra took the lead in the second half, with Owen Dale finding the net, on 67 minutes. However, each side looked hungry to win and Charlton Athletic then found the back of the net, 83 minutes in thanks to Alex Gilbey, taking the score to 2-1. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Owen Dale equalised for Crewe Alexandra just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 2-2.

Crewe Alexandra and Charlton Athletic will next play away to Bristol Rovers and Accrington Stanley respectively.
