Blackpool 1-0 Bristol Rovers – Points secure for Blackpool as they ease past Bristol Rovers 1-0

Blackpool secures a 1-0 victory against Bristol Rovers at Bloomfield Road on Sunday. Blackpool were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two matches against Northampton Town away and Sunderland AFC away, by 3-0 and 1-0 respectively. Bristol Rovers, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Crewe Alexandra. This left, Blackpool and Bristol Rovers sit 3rd (80 points) and 24th (38 points) in the league respectively, after a total of 46 matches.

After a goalless first half, Blackpool piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Ellis Reco Simms giving Blackpool the lead at the 75 minute mark. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 1-0 to Blackpool.

For Blackpool, Ollie Turton, Ellis Reco Simms and Gary Madine, came on for Keshi Anderson, Bradley Holmes and Elliot Embleton. Bristol Rovers brought on James Daly, Mark Little, Zain Walker, Tom Mehew and Ben Liddle, to replace David Tutonda, Cian Harries, George Williams, Cameron Hargreaves and Zain Westbrooke.

There were bookings for Bradley Holmes from Blackpool, and Cian Harries, Cameron Hargreaves, Jack Baldwin and David Tutonda, for Bristol Rovers.
