Ipswich Town fell to an away defeat at the hands of Accrington Stanley at The Crown Ground on Saturday. Accrington Stanley were hoping to get something from this game after losing 5-1 to Oxford United in their last match. Ipswich Town, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 6-0 win against Doncaster Rovers in their last match. After today’s result, Accrington Stanley are in 10th place, with 16 points from 11 matches, while Ipswich Town sit in 19th, with 10 points from 11.
It was an impressive opening from Ipswich Town, thanks to Macauley Bonne giving Ipswich Town the lead, 38 minutes in to see out the first half 0-1.
Accrington Stanley started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Colby Bishop in the 50th minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Harry Pell, at 79 minutes to make it 2-1.
There were bookings for Ethan Hamilton and Seamus Conneely from Accrington Stanley. For Ipswich Town, James Norwood saw yellow.
