Getafe beat Cádiz with a thumping 2-0 victory on Sunday at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Both Cádiz and Getafe arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Cádiz were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Getafe were coming off the back of a 3-1 win against Elche. After today’s result, Cádiz and Getafe currently occupy 10th and 13th spots in the league, with 23 points and 20 points respectively after 14 matches.

Getafe started strongly in the first half, beginning with Cucho Hernandez opening the scoring in the 33rd minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Getafe continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, thanks to Nemanja Maksimovic opening the scoring just before the final whistle to hand victory to the visitors.

Cádiz brought on Anthony Lozano, Fali, Alvaro Gimenez and Filip Malbasic for Alvaro Negredo, Alfonso Espino, Salvi Sanchez and Alex. Getafe brought on Enes Ünal and David Timor, to replace Angel Rodriguez and Cucho Hernandez.

There were bookings for Juan Cala from Cádiz and Cucho Hernandez, Marc Cucurella, Erick Cabaco, Allan Nyom, Mathias Olivera and Ruben Yanez for Getafe.

Cádiz next face Levante and Getafe are at home to Huesca.
