Villarreal 2 – Betis 0- Points secure for The Yellow Submarine at the Estadio de la Ceramica

Villarreal snatched all three points from Real Betis in a 2-0 victory on Sunday, at the Estadio de la Ceramica. Villarreal were looking for a victory following a disappointing 0-0 draw with R Madrid in their previous game. Betis were coming from consecutive wins against Getafe and Osasuna. As it stands, Villarreal are currently 11th with 11 points from 8 matches, while Betis sit in 10th, with 12 points from 8.

Villarreal continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Arnaut Danjuma finding the net again, 69 minutes in and seeing the game end 2-0.

For Villarreal, Alberto Moreno, Moi Gomez, Ruben Pena, Vicente Iborra, Nicolas Jackson and, came on for Francis Coquelin, Manu Trigueros, Yeremi Pino, Etienne Capoue, Arnaut Danjuma and. Betis brought on Cristian Tello, Alex Moreno, Rodri, Victor Camarasa and Borja Iglesias, to replace Juanmi, Juan Miranda, Aitor Ruibal, Willian Jose and William Carvalho.

There were bookings for Etienne Capoue and Pau Torres from Villarreal, and Nabil Fekir, Juanmi, Edgar Gonzalez and Guido Rodriguez, for Betis.

Villarreal will next play Osasuna at home, with Betis facing Alaves away.
