Betis enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Villarreal at the Estadio El Madrigal on Sunday. Villarreal arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 2-2 draw against Elche. Real Betis, on the other hand, were beaten 3-2 in the previous match against Barcelona. Real Betis started the second half on an intensified spirit, beginning with Emerson opening the scoring in the 52nd minute. Villarreal pull-back thanks to a goal from Gerard Moreno, 65 minutes in to establish the 2-1. The game ended with a 2-1 victory for Real Betis.
