Seville 2 – Espanyol 0- Home victory for Los Nervionenses against Budgerigars

Seville strolled past Espanyol with a 2-0 win on Saturday at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Both Seville and Espanyol arrived on the back of wins. Seville were looking to continue their run after winning last match. Espanyol had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 1-0 victory against Alaves. Following today’s result, Seville are currently 4th with 11 points from 7 matches, while Espanyol sit in 13th, with 6 points from 7.

It was an impressive opening from Seville, with Youssef En-Nesyri giving Los Nervionenses the lead in the 13th minute. The score at half time was 1-0.

Seville continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Rafa Mir just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-0.

For Seville, Erik Lamela, Fernando, Rafa Mir and Karim Rekik, came on for Suso, Ivan Rakitic, Youssef En-Nesyri and Lucas Ocampos. Espanyol replaced Nany Dimata, Nicolas Melamed Ribaudo, Loren Moron and Alvaro Vadillo with Fran Merida, Wu Lei, Adri Embarba and Aleix Vidal.

The referee booked Ivan Rakitic, Thomas Delaney and Erik Lamela and Thomas Delaney (2 yellow cards) saw the red card, for Seville.

Seville will next travel to Granada, while Espanyol will face R Madrid at home.
