Seville beats Alaves 1-0 on Sunday at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Seville were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 4-0 to Villarreal. Alaves were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Granada and Elche. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the LaLiga season, Seville and Alaves sit 4th (77 points) and 16th (38 points) in the table respectively, after a total of 38 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Los Nervionenses piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Papu Gomez just before the final whistle. The game ended with a 1-0 victory for Seville.

For Seville, Ivan Rakitic, Oscar, Oliver Torres, Luuk De Jong and Papu Gomez, came on for Lucas Ocampos, Joan Jordan, Franco Vazquez, Suso and Sergio Escudero.
