On Saturday, Cádiz suffer an away defeat to Sevilla at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Sevilla were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Alavés whilst Cádiz had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Levante. As the table looks today, Sevilla and Cádiz currently occupy 3rd and 9th spots in the league, with 36 points and 24 points respectively after 20 matches.

Sevilla started strongly in the first half, with Youssef En-Nesyri opening the rout, 35 minutes in. Later, Sevilla scored again and increased their advantage thanks to another goal from Youssef En-Nesyri in the 39th minute. The score at half time was 2-0.

Sevilla continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, with a new goal from Youssef En-Nesyri, completing a hat trick, 62 minutes in. The game ended with a 3-0 victory for Sevilla.

For Sevilla Nemanja Gudelj, Joan Jordan, Aleix Vidal, Munir El Haddadi and Oussama Idrissi came on for Fernando, Ivan Rakitic, Jesus Navas, Suso and Oliver Torres, while Cádiz brought on Alberto Perea, Jairo Izquierdo, Garrido, Filip Malbasic and Manuel Nieto to replace Salvi Sanchez, Jens Jonsson, Alvaro Negredo, Alex and Anthony Lozano.

There were bookings for Nemanja Gudelj from Sevilla and Pedro Alcala, Salvi Sanchez and Juan Cala for Cádiz.

Sevilla will next play Eibar away, with Cádiz facing Atlético Madrid at home.
