Madrid enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Eibar at Ipurua Municipal Stadium on Sunday. Eibar were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-1 to Levante in their last match whilst Real Madrid were coming from consecutive wins against Athletic Bilbao and Atlético Madrid. As the table looks today, Eibar and Real Madrid are 15th, (19 points) and 2nd, (37 points), in the league respectively, after 14 matches.
Real Madrid started the game well, following Karim Benzema opening the scoring in the early minutes of the first 45 minutes. Later, Real Madrid scored again thanks to a goal from Luka Modric, 13 minutes in to establish the 2-0. Eibar pull-back thanks to a goal from Kike in minute 28 to establish the 2-1, thereby seeing the first half to a 2-1.
Real Madrid continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, beginning with Lucas Vazquez opening the scoring just before the final whistle, sealing a resounding 3-1 victory for the away side.
For Eibar Pedro Leon, Sergio Alvarez and Unai Arieta came on for Takashi Inui, Pape Diop and Kike, while Madrid replaced Federico Valverde and Marco Asensio with Luka Modric and Rodrygo.
The referee booked Anaitz Arbilla for Eibar.
