If you read Jose’s writing, you would never think that he is anything but professional. However, he is the joker of our team.

Osasuna enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Elche at the Estadio El Sadar on Sunday. Osasuna were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Villarreal while Elche were beaten 3-1 in the previous match against Huesca. As it stands, Osasuna and Elche currently occupy 12th and 18th spots in the table, with 37 points and 26 points respectively after 33 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Osasuna, thanks to Enrique Barja finding the net, 38 minutes in. The score at half time was 1-0.

Los Rojillos continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Diego Gonzalez finding the net, on 68 minutes so at full time it was 2-0 to Osasuna.

For Osasuna, Roberto Torres, Jonas Ramalho, Facundo Roncaglia, Ezequiel Avila and Oier, came on for Emiliano Rigoni, Josan, Raul Guti, Pere Milla and Ivan Marcone. Elche brought on Pablo Piatti, Tete Morente, Nino, Victor Rodriguez and Luismi, to replace Emiliano Rigoni, Josan, Raul Guti, Pere Milla and Ivan Marcone.

There were bookings for Nacho Vidal and Manu Sanchez from Osasuna, and Lucas Boye, for Elche.

Osasuna will next travel to R Madrid, while Elche will face Atletico Madrid at home.
