Levante 3 – RMA 3: Victory elusive at the Ciutat de Valencia for both sides

On Sunday, Levante and RMA were held to a 3-3 draw at the Ciutat de Valencia. Levante wanted to continue adding points after a 1-1 draw against Cádiz. RMA were looking to extend their winning run after a 4-1 victory against Alaves. After today’s result, Levante are in 8th place on the table and has 2 points while RMA sit in 2nd with 4 points after 2 matches.

RMA started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to an early goal from Gareth Bale in the 5th minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Roger Marti equalised for Levante just before half-time, finishing the first half 1-1.

Levante took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Jose Campana, 57 minutes in. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Vinicius Junior at the 73 minute mark brought Los Blancos level. However, each side looked hungry to win and The Frogs then found the back of the net in the 79th minute thanks to Rober Pier, taking the score to 3-2. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Vinicius Junior equalised for RMA just before the final whistle. The final result, Levante 3, RMA 3.

For Levante, Pablo Martinez, Mickael Malsa, Alejandro Cantero, Enis Bardhi and Enric Franquesa, came on for Gonzalo Melero, Roger Marti, Jose Luis Morales, Jose Campana and Jorge De Frutos Sebastian. RMA replaced Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard, Isco, Lucas Vazquez and Federico Valverde for Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior, Marco Asensio, Dani Carvajal and Luka Jovic.

The referee booked Carlos Clerc, Gonzalo Melero and Jose Campana from Levante and Aitor Fernandez went off with a red card, while RMA’s Eder Militao and Rodrygo also received a yellow.

Next up, Levante are away to Real Sociedad, whilst RMA will travel to face Real Betis.
