Huesca take all 3 points, after 3-1 victory against Real Valladolid

Huesca enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Valladolid at José Zorrilla on Friday. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Real Valladolid wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Levante in their previous game while Huesca are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Following today’s result, Real Valladolid and Huesca sit 16th, (20 points) and 20th, (16 points), in the table respectively, after 21 matches.

Huesca started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Rafa Mir in the 37th minute and the first half ended 1-0.

The second half started favourably for Huesca, beginning with early goal from Rafa Mir in the 50th minute. Later, Huesca scored again and increased their advantage thanks to another goal from Rafa Mir, completing a hat trick to make it 3-0. However, Real Valladolid hit back just before the final whistle, with a goal from Toni Villa in the 90th minute. The game ended with a 3-1 victory for Huesca.

For Valladolid, Sergi Guardiola, Pablo Hervias, Toni Villa, Kenan Kodro and Oriol Rey came on for Shinji Okazaki, Pablo Maffeo, Idrissa Doumbia, Mikel Rico and Rafa Mir, while Huesca brought on Dani Escriche, Pedro Lopez, David Ferreiro, Sergio Gomez and Borja Garcia to replace Shinji Okazaki, Pablo Maffeo, Idrissa Doumbia, Mikel Rico and Rafa Mir.

There were bookings for Michel Herrero and Nacho Martinez from Valladolid and Gaston Silva and Idrissa Doumbia for Huesca.

Real Valladolid will next travel to Alavés, while Huesca will face Real Madrid at home.
