Granada 1-4 R Madrid: R Madrid secure all 3 points, after a win at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes

R Madrid delivered a resounding 4-1 victory against Granada on Thursday, at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes. Granada were looking to improve their position in the division after losing their last game 2-1 to Real Betis whilst RMA had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Seville. As the table looks today, Granada and RMA currently occupy 10th and 2nd spots in the league, with 45 points and 78 points respectively after 36 matches.

RMA started the first half well, with Luka Modric opening the rout in the 17th minute. Los Blancos then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Rodrygo just before half-time. The first half ended 0-2.

Granada took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Jorge Molina in the 71st minute. However, RMA increased their lead with a Alvaro Odriozola goal at the 75 minute mark to make it 3-1. RMA then scored again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Karim Benzema, 76 minutes in with a final score of 4-1.

For Granada, Alberto Soro, Luis Suarez, Domingos Quina, Adrian Marin and Nehuen Perez, came on for Fede Vico, Darwin Machis, Yan Eteki, Antonio Puertas and German Sanchez. RMA brought on Alvaro Odriozola, Marco Asensio, Isco, Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz, to replace Marvin Park, Rodrygo, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior and Karim Benzema.

There were bookings for Jorge Molina, Yan Eteki and Domingos Quina from Granada, and Eder Militao, Luka Modric and Nacho, for RMA.

RMA and Granada will next play away to Athletic Bilbao and Alaves respectively.
