Cádiz beats Granada 1-0 on Sunday at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes. Granada were looking to pick up points after winning last match whilst Cádiz secured a point against Celta Vigo in their previous match. At the moment, Granada are in 8th place on the table and has 45 points while Cádiz sit in 12th with 40 points after 34 matches.

Cádiz started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to Ruben Sobrino giving Cádiz the lead in the 39th minute, to take a 0-1 lead into half time. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

For Granada, Victor Diaz, Robert Kenedy, Roberto Soldado, Luis Suarez and Fede Vico, came on for Nehuen Perez, Antonio Puertas, Yangel Herrera, Darwin Machis and Robert Kenedy. Cádiz replaced Jairo Izquierdo, Anthony Lozano, Filip Malbasic and Garrido with Salvi Sanchez, Alvaro Negredo, Ivan Alejo and Jose Mari.

The referee booked Luis Suarez, Maxime Gonalons, Quini, Roberto Soldado, Angel Montoro and Aaron Escandell from Granada and Roberto Soldado (2 yellow cards) went off with a red card, while Cádiz’s Alvaro Negredo and Ruben Sobrino also received a yellow.

Granada will play their next fixture away against Real Betis, while Cádiz will face Huesca at home.
