Getafe 0 – Elche 1: Visitors ecstatic after win at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez

Elche beat Getafe with a thumping 1-0 victory on Monday at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Getafe arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Barcelona. Elche are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, Getafe and Elche sit 19th and 9th places with 0 points and 5 points respectively.

After a goalless first half, Elche continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Lucas Perez finding the net in the 69th minute so at full time it was 1-0 to Elche.

For Getafe, David Timor, Sandro Ramirez, Vitolo, Jonathan Silva and Darío Poveda, came on for Mauro Arambarri, Enes Unal, Jaime Mata, Carles Alena and Mathias Olivera. Elche brought on Enzo Roco, Lucas Perez, Guido Carrillo, Gerard Gumbau and Ivan Marcone, to replace Pedro Bigas, Lucas Boye, Dario Benedetto, Omar Mascarell and Fidel.

There were bookings for Damian Suarez and Sandro Ramirez from Getafe. For Elche, Gonzalo Verdu, Omar Mascarell and Helibelton Palacios saw yellow.

Getafe will next travel to Rayo Vallecano, while Elche will face Levante at home.
