Barcelona were held to 1-1 draw by Cádiz down on Sunday at the Nou Camp. Barcelona were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Alaves at home and Real Betis away, by 5-1 and 3-2 respectively. Cádiz lost 4-0 in the last match they played against Athletic Club. After today’s result, Barcelona and Cádiz sit 3rd, (47 points) and 14th, (25 points), in the league respectively, after 24 matches.
The first half of the game started favourably for Barcelona, beginning with Lionel Messi opening the scoring in the 32nd minute, finalising the first half with a 1-0.
Cádiz took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Alex just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-1.
