Mallorca fell to an away defeat at the hands of Athletic Bilbao at San Mames Stadium on Saturday. Both teams arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Athletic Bilbao were looking to pick up points, following a 1-0 victory against Celta Vigo while Mallorca were coming from consecutive wins against Espanyol and Alaves.
