Athletic Bilbao seal the victory in the second half against Huesca

Athletic eased past Huesca in a 2-0 victory on Friday at San Mames. Both Athletic Bilbao and Huesca came from defeats in their previous league games. Athletic Bilbao were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 3-1 to Real Madrid. Huesca, on the other hand, lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Real Betis. As things stand, Athletic Bilbao are currently 12th with 21 points from 14 matches, while Huesca sit in 20th, with 12 points from 14.

After a goalless first half, Athletic Bilbao continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, beginning with a goal from Kenan Kodro in minute 86. Later, Athletic Bilbao took the lead with a goal form a goal from Unai Nunez in the 90th minute just before the final whistle. They managed to see the game out with a clean sheet and a final score of 2-0.

For Athletic Bilbao Unai Vencedor, Kenan Kodro, Oscar De Marcos, Oihan Sancet and Jon Morcillo came on for Dani Garcia, Asier Villalibre, Ander Capa, Iker Muniain and Inaki Williams, while Huesca brought on Pedro Lopez, Idrissa Doumbia, Rafa Mir, Jaime Seoane and Dani Escriche to replace Pablo Maffeo, Mikel Rico, Shinji Okazaki, David Ferreiro and Borja Garcia.

Athletic Bilbao will play at home against Getafe, while Huesca will face Getafe away.
