Alaves avoid defeat and secure a 1-0 victory at home to Real Valladolid

Valladolid on away loss to Alaves at Estadio de Mendizorroza on Friday. Alaves arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Getafe in their previous game. Real Valladolid, on the other hand, were beaten 3-1 in the previous match against Huesca. As the table looks today, Alaves are currently 15th with 22 points from 22 matches, while Real Valladolid sit in 17th, with 20 points from 22.

After an uneventful first half, Alaves continued to apply pressure the second half and were rewarded, beginning with a goal from Joselu in the 66th minute, and the game ended 1-0.

For Alaves Inigo Cordoba, Martin Aguirregabiria, Rodrigo Battaglia and Deyverson came on for Luis Rioja, Ximo Navarro, Manu Garcia and Joselu, while Valladolid brought on Toni Villa, Kenan Kodro, Ruben Alcaraz, Waldo Rubio and Fabian Orellana to replace Pablo Hervias, Kike Perez, Roque Mesa, Shon Weissman and Oscar Plano.

There were bookings for Tomas Pina, Ximo Navarro, Manu Garcia and Edgar Mendez from Alaves and Bruno Gonzalez, Joaquin Fernandez, Fede San Emeterio and Ruben Alcaraz for Valladolid.

Real Valladolid and Alaves will next play away to Eibar and Barcelona respectively.
