Manchester City started well with, with early goal from Gabriel Jesus in the 3rd minute. Later, Manchester City took the lead with a goal form a goal from Raheem Sterling in the 38th minute. The score at half time was 2-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 2-0.
For Burnley Dale Stephens, Joel Mumbongo and Josh Benson came on for Jack Cork, Jay Rodriguez and Ashley Westwood, while City brought on Olexandr Zinchenko to replace Joao Cancelo.
