Rapid Viena on away loss to The Hammers at London Stadium on Thursday. The Hammers were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning last match. Rapid Viena, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Genk. After today’s result, The Hammers are currently 1st with 6 points from 2 matches, while Rapid Viena sit in 4th, with 0 points from 2.

The Irons started the game well, with Declan Rice giving The Hammers the lead, 29 minutes in. The score at half time was 1-0.

The Hammers continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Said Benrahma finding the net just before the final whistle. The game ended with a 2-0 home victory.
