It was an impressive opening from Napoli, with an early goal from Eljif Elmas in the 1st minute, seeing out the first half 1-0.
Sarptak staged a comeback in the second half, thanks to Quincy Promes finding the net at the 55 minute mark. The momentum was now with Sarptak, who then scored again through a goal from Mikhail Ignatov at the 80 minute mark to establish a 2-1. Sarptak looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a 2nd effort from Quincy Promes at the 90 minute mark to establish a 3-1. In the end though, Gli Azzurri just before the final whistle hit back though thanks to a Victor Osimhen goal and seeing the game end 3-2.
For Napoli, Kevin Malcuit, Victor Osimhen, Andre Zambo Anguissa, Hirving Lozano and Adam Ounas, came on for Lorenzo Insigne, Andrea Petagna, Piotr Zielinski, Matteo Politano and Eljif Elmas. Sarptak brought on Aleksandr Sobolev, Mikhail Ignatov and Alesandr Lomovitskiy, to replace Ezequiel Ponce, Ruslan Litvinov and Zelimkhan Bakaev.
The referee booked from Napoli Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Kalidou Koulibaly, Fabian Ruiz and Kostas Manolas and from Sarptak Ezequiel Ponce, Ruslan Litvinov, Aleksandr Sobolev, Maximiliano Caufriez, Ayrton Lucas, Aleksandr Maksimenko and Nail Umyarov.
