Lyon cruises against Broendby IF on a home win at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Thursday. Lyon were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Broendby IF secured a point against Sparta Prague in their previous match. Following today’s result, Lyon are in 1st place on the table and has 6 points while Broendby IF sit in 3rd with 1 point after 2 matches.

After a goalless first half, The Kids piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Karl Toko Ekambi giving Lyon the lead in the 64th minute. The momentum was now with The Kids, who then scored again through a second effort from Karl Toko Ekambi, at 71 minutes to establish a 2-0. Lyon then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Houssem Aouar just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-0.

For Lyon, Rayan Cherki, Malo Gusto, Tino Kadewere and Habib Keita, came on for Xherdan Shaqiri, Leo Dubois, Maxence Caqueret and Lucas Paqueta. Broendby IF brought on Kevin Mensah, Kevin Tshiembe, Anis Slimane, Christian Cappis and Tobias Borkeeiet, to replace Jens Martin Gammelby, Henrik Heggheim, Mathias Greve Petersen, Simon Hedlund and Josip Radosevic.

The referee booked Emerson and Maxence Caqueret for Lyon.
