Lazio 2 – Lokomotiv 0-Lokomotiv unable to avoid narrow defeat away to The White and Sky Blues (2-0)

Lokomotiv Moscow fell to an away defeat at the hands of Lazio at the Stadio Olympico on Thursday. Lazio were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Galatasaray. Lokomotiv are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. At the moment, Lazio and Lokomotiv sit 2nd, (3 points) and 4th, (1 point), spots respectively, after 2 matches.

It was an impressive opening from The White and Sky Blues, with a goal from Toma Basic, 13 minutes in. Lazio then netted again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Patric at the 38 minute mark and the first half ended 2-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything in the second half and the game ended 2-0.

For Lazio, Vedat Muriqi, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Lucas Leiva, Raul Moro and Adam Marusic, came on for Ciro Immobile, Luis Alberto, Danilo Cataldi, Pedro and Manuel Lazzari. Lokomotiv replaced Konstantin Maradishvili, Rifat Zhemaletdinov and Faustino Anjorin for Gyrano Kerk, Vitali Lisakovich and Maksim Petrov.

There were bookings for Danilo Cataldi and Manuel Lazzari from Lazio. For Lokomotiv, Alexis Beka Beka and Dmitry Rybchinskiy saw yellow.

Lazio next face Olympique de Marseille and Lokomotiv are at home to Galatasaray.
