Real Betis enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Ferencváros at the Groupama Arena on Thursday. Ferencváros were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. Betis were able to continue their winning streak after a 4-3 win against Celtic in their last match. After today’s result, Ferencváros and Betis sit 3rd, (0 points) and 2nd, (6 points), in the league respectively, after 2 matches.

Betis dominated the first half, with Nabil Fekir giving Betis the lead in the 17th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Myrto Uzuni equalised for Ferencváros just before half-time, finalising the first half 1-1.

The Green-and-Whites continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Henry Wingo finding the net, at 75 minutes. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Cristian Tello just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-1.

For Ferencváros, Tokmac Chol Nguen, Oleksandr Zubkov and Stjepan Loncar, came on for Kristoffer Zachariassen, Endre Botka and Aissa Laidouni. Betis brought on Guido Rodriguez, Willian Jose, Cristian Tello and Rober, to replace Paul Akouokou, Borja Iglesias, Joaquin and Rodri.

There were bookings for Aissa Laidouni from Ferencváros, and Paul Akouokou, Martin Montoya and Rodri, for Betis.
