Sweden beats Slovakia 1-0 on Friday at Estadio Krestovski. Sweden wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Spain in their previous game. Slovakia, on the other hand, had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 2-1 victory against Poland. As the table looks today, Sweden are currently 1st with 4 points from 2 matches, while Slovakia sit in 2nd, with 3 points from 2.

Following a goalless first half, The Swedes applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Forsberg at the 77 minute mark and seeing the game end 1-0.

For Sweden, Claesson, Quaison, Bengtsson, Svensson and Krafth, came on for Olsson, Berg, Augustinsson, Ekdal and Forsberg. Slovakia brought on Haraslin, Weiss, Bénes, Ďuriš and Hancko, to replace Pekarik, Mak, Hamšík, Hrošovský and Hubocan.
