Austria were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-1 victory against North Macedonia. Netherlands found the net first, thanks to Depay giving Netherlands the lead in the 11th minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Netherlands continued to apply pressure in the second, with Dumfries finding the net at the 67 minute mark and seeing the game end 2-0.
