Belgium beat Denmark with a thumping 2-1 victory on Thursday at Parken Stadion. Denmark were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 1-0 to Finland. Belgium were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-0 win against Russia in their last match. At the moment, Denmark are in 4th place, with 0 points from 2 matches, while Belgium sit in 1st, with 6 points from 2.
It was an impressive opening from The Danes, thanks to an early goal from Poulsen in the 2nd minute. The score at half time was 1-0.
Belgium staged a comeback in the second half, with a goal from Hazard at the 55 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and De Bruyne made it 2-1 at the 70 minute mark to make it 2-1.
For Denmark, Nørgaard, Stryger, Cornelius, Jensen and Skov Olsen, came on for Poulsen, Wass, Delaney, Damsgaard and Vestergaard. Belgium replaced De Bruyne, Hazard, Witsel and Vermaelen with Mertens, Carrasco, Dendoncker and Hazard.
There were bookings for Wass, Damsgaard and Jensen from Denmark. For Belgium, Hazard saw yellow.
