Millwall cruises against Sheffield Wednesday on a home win at the Den on Saturday. Millwall were looking for a victory following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Cardiff City in their previous game. Sheffield Wednesday, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Preston North End in their last match. Following today’s result, Millwall are currently 13th with 35 points from 28 matches, while Sheffield Wednesday sit in 23rd, with 25 points from 28.

Sheffield Wednesday scored first, with Callum Paterson opening the scoring in the 10th minute. However, they didn’t maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from a Kenneth Zohore in the 39th minute brought Millwall level, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-1.

Millwall continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, with a goal from Scott Malone, 68 minutes in. Later, Millwall scored again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Ben Thompson to make it 3-1. Later, Millwall took the lead with a goal form a goal from Tom Bradshaw in the 90th minute just before the final whistle, sealing a resounding 4-1 victory for the home side.

For Millwall, Ben Thompson, Shaun Williams, Tom Bradshaw and Matt Smith came on for Matthew Penney, Elias Kachunga, Liam Palmer, Callum Paterson and Sam Hutchinson, while Sheffield Wednesday brought on Kadeem Harris, Jordan Rhodes, Liam Shaw, Josh Windass and Osaze Urhoghide to replace Matthew Penney, Elias Kachunga, Liam Palmer, Callum Paterson and Sam Hutchinson.

There were bookings for Shaun Hutchinson from Millwall and Osaze Urhoghide for Sheffield Wednesday.

Millwall will next play Reading away, with Sheffield Wednesday facing Swansea City at home.
