Crystal Palace delivered a resounding 2-1 victory against Newcastle on Tuesday, at St James’ Park. Both Newcastle United and Crystal Palace arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Newcastle United were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Crystal Palace, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their last match. Newcastle United started the game well, with early goal from Jonjo Shelvey in the 2nd minute. However, they didn’t maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from a goal from Jairo Riedewald in the 21st minute brought Crystal Palace level. Later, Crystal Palace scored again and turned the match thanks to a goal from Gary Cahill in the 25th minute, to take a 2-1 lead into half time. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 2-1.
