On Friday, Blackburn Rovers suffer an away defeat to Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. Wycombe wanted to continue adding points after a scoreless draw against Coventry City in their previous match. Blackburn, on the other hand, were unable to beat Norwich City in a 1-1 draw. As things stand, Wycombe are in 24th place, with 27 points from 39 matches, while Blackburn sit in 15th, with 46 points from 39.

Following a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Wycombe who started the second half well, with an early goal from Fred Onyedinma in the 48th minute so at full time it was 1-0 to Wycombe.

Both coaches used the full entitlement. For Wycombe, Dennis Adeniran, came on for Dominic Gape, Blackburn brought on Ryan Nyambe, Stewart Downing, Tyrhys Dolan, John Buckley and Bradley Johnson, to replace Joe Rankin Costello, Lewis Holtby, Ben Brereton, Harvey Elliott and Tom Trybull.

The referee booked one player from Blackburn, Lewis Holtby.

Wycombe will next travel to Rotherham United, while Blackburn will face Bournemouth at home.
