Queens Park Rangers on away loss to West Brom at The Hawthorns on Friday. West Brom arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Preston North End in their previous game. QPR lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Bristol City. As things stand, West Brom are currently 1st with 19 points from 9 matches, while QPR sit in 8th, with 12 points from 9.
QPR started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with an early goal from Andre Gray in the 1st minute, to take a 0-1 lead into half time.
The Baggies continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Seny Dieng, at 75 minutes. West Brom then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from Karlan Grant just before the final whistle to make it 2-1.
Both managers used all available substitutions. For West Brom, Callum Robinson, Jordan Hugill and Kean Bryan, came on for Matthew Phillips, Grady Diangana and Karlan Grant, QPR brought on Lyndon Dykes, Osman Kakay and Andre Dozzell to replace Chris Willock, Jordy De Wijs and Stefan Johansen.
There were bookings for Jordan Hugill from West Brom. For QPR, Osman Kakay saw yellow.
