Visitors leave with nothing as Norwich City see off Bristol City in 2-0 victory

Norwich snatched all three points from Bristol City in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday, at Carrow Road. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Norwich City were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two matches against Cardiff City away and Barnsley at home, by 2-1 and 1-0 respectively. Bristol City, on the other hand, had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 2-0 victory against Preston North End. As the table looks today, Norwich City are in 1st place, with 53 points from 25 matches, while Bristol City sit in 9th, with 36 points from 25.

Norwich City scored first, following Jordan Hugill opening the scoring in the 36th minute, thereby seeing the first half to a 1-0.

Norwich City continued to apply pressure the second half and were rewarded, beginning with a new goal from Jordan Hugill, scoring his second goal, 76 minutes in, which sealed the victory for Norwich City.

For Norwich, Przemyslaw Placheta, Kieran Dowell and Onel Hernandez came on for Hakeeb Adelakun, Kasey Palmer, Chris Martin and Zak Vyner, while Bristol brought on Antoine Semenyo, Nahki Wells, Han-Noah Massengo and Tyreeq Bakinson to replace Hakeeb Adelakun, Kasey Palmer, Chris Martin and Zak Vyner.

There were bookings for Todd Cantwell from Norwich and Kasey Palmer and Zak Vyner for Bristol.

Norwich City will next travel to Millwall, while Bristol City will face Huddersfield Town at home.
