Swansea City eased past Huddersfield Town in a 1-0 victory on Saturday at Liberty Stadium. Swansea arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 3-3 draw with Luton Town in their previous game. Huddersfield, on the other hand, were beaten 2-0 in the previous match against Nottingham Forest. As it stands, Swansea and Huddersfield currently occupy 17th and 7th spots in the table, with 10 points and 13 points respectively after 9 matches.
Swansea found the net first, thanks to Joel Piroe finding the net, at 17 minutes, to take a 1-0 lead into half time. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.
Both teams used all available substitutes. For Swansea, Liam Cullen, Korey Smith and Jay Fulton, came on for Joel Piroe, Jamie Paterson and Olivier Ntcham, Huddersfield brought on Josh Koroma, Duane Holmes and Ademipo Odubeko to replace Ollie Turton, Fraizer Campbell and Jonathan Hogg.
There were bookings for Kyle Naughton and Korey Smith from Swansea, and Duane Holmes and Levi Colwill, for Huddersfield.
Swansea will play away against Fulham, while Huddersfield will face Blackburn Rovers at home.
