Preston North End strolled past Swansea City with a 1-0 win on Monday at Liberty Stadium. Swansea were looking to get back winning ways after losing 1-0 to Birmingham City in their last match. Preston, on the other hand, secured a point against Norwich City in their previous match. As the table looks today, Swansea are in 4th place, with 69 points from 40 matches, while Preston sit in 17th, with 45 points from 40.

After an un-eventful first half, Preston continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Matt Grimes just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 1-0.

For Swansea, Yan Dhanda and Wayne Routledge, came on for Conor Hourihane and Morgan Whittaker. Preston replaced Emil Riis Jakobsen and Brad Potts for Scott Sinclair and Jayson Molumby.

The referee booked Marc Guehi and Jamal Lowe for Swansea.

Swansea will play away against Millwall, while Preston will face Brentford at home.
