Rotherham United 0-1 Coventry City – Visitors secure second half victory as The Sky Blues beat The Millers 1-0

Coventry City’s 1-0 win over Rotherham United on Thursday, was hard fought at the AESSEAL New York Stadium. Rotherham wanted to continue adding points following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town in their previous game. Coventry lost 4-1 in the last match they played against Bournemouth. As it stands, Rotherham are in 22nd place on the table and has 39 points while Coventry sit in 18th with 45 points after 36 matches.

Following a goalless first half, The Sky Blues continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Leo Ostigard at the 70 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Rotherham, Ryan Giles, Freddie Ladapo, Chiedozie Ogbene, Clark Robertson and Kieran Sadlier, came on for Tyler Walker, Matt Godden and Callum O`Hare. Coventry brought on Maxime Biamou, Viktor Gyokeres and Gustavo Hamer, to replace Tyler Walker, Matt Godden and Callum O`Hare.

There were bookings for Lewis Wing, Ben Wiles and Richard Wood from Rotherham. For Coventry, Maxime Biamou saw yellow.

Rotherham next face Birmingham City and Coventry are at home to Barnsley.
