Queens Park Rangers defeat Preston North End 3-2 on Saturday at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. QPR were looking to continue their run, following a 2-0 victory against Birmingham City. North End are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, QPR and North End sit 6th, (18 points) and 18th, (11 points), in the league respectively, after 11 matches.

QPR dominated the first half, thanks to Lyndon Dykes finding the net after 17 minutes. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Emil Riis, 27 minutes in, brought The Lilywhites level. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Josh Earl just before half-time, to take a 1-2 lead into half time.

Rangers continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Jimmy Dunne finding the net at the 71 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Ilias Chair made it 3-2, 74 minutes in to make it 3-2.

For QPR, Jordy De Wijs, came on for Chris Willock. North End brought on Alan Browne, Liam Lindsay and Brad Potts, to replace Ali McCann, Patrick Bauer and Sean Maguire.

The referee booked Luke Amos for QPR.

QPR will next travel to Fulham, while North End will face Derby County at home.
