Queens Park Rangers defeat Birmingham City 2-0 on Tuesday at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. QPR were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to West Bromwich Albion. Birmingham had to settle for a draw 0-0 against Preston North End. At the moment, QPR are currently 8th with 15 points from 10 matches, while Birmingham sit in 13th, with 12 points from 10.
QPR started the first half well, with a goal from Ilias Chair in the 34th minute, seeing out the first half 1-0.
Rangers continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Ilias Chair finding the net again in the 64th minute. The game ended with a 2-0 home victory.
Both teams used all available substitutes. For QPR, Luke Amos, Andre Gray and Albert Adomah, came on for Andre Dozzell, Charlie Austin and Lyndon Dykes, Birmingham brought on Lukas Jutkiewicz, Riley McGree and Chuks Aneke, to replace Troy Deeney, Marc Roberts and Scott Hogan.
There were bookings for Andre Dozzell from QPR. For Birmingham, Ivan Sunjic saw yellow.
QPR next face Preston North End and Birmingham are at home to Nottingham Forest.
