QPR were held to 2-2 draw by Barnsley down on Saturday at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. QPR were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Middlesbrough away and Hull City away, by 3-2 and 3-0 respectively. Barnsley, on the other hand, were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Luton Town. At the moment, QPR and Barnsley sit 1st, (8 points) and 10th, (5 points), in the league respectively, after 4 matches.
The Tykes dominated the first half, with Dominik Frieser finding the net at the 14 minute mark. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Cauley Woodrow, at 27 minutes to secure a 0-2 win.
Rangers took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Ilias Chair in the 76th minute. QPR then scored once more and equalised thanks to a goal from Charlie Austin just before the final whistle to make it 2-2.
QPR brought on Dominic Ball, Albert Adomah and Jimmy Dunne for George Thomas, Andre Dozzell and Jordy De Wijs. Barnsley brought on Jasper Moon, Devante Cole and Aapo Halme, to replace Romal Palmer, Clarke Oduor and Josh Benson.
There were bookings for Yoann Barbet and Ilias Chair from QPR. For Barnsley, Josh Benson, Callum Styles and Liam Kitching saw yellow.
QPR next face Coventry City and Barnsley are at home to Birmingham City.
