Queens Park Rangers’ 3-0 win over Coventry City on Friday, was hard fought at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. QPR were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against Reading. Coventry secured a point against Wycombe Wanderers in their previous match. As things stand, QPR are in 12th place on the table and has 53 points while Coventry sit in 20th with 39 points after 39 matches.

QPR didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with an early goal from Chris Willock in the 2nd minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Michael Rose made it 2-0, on 22 minutes, finalising the first half 2-0.

QPR continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Ilias Chair finding the net in the 68th minute, leaving the final score at 3-0.

For QPR, Lyndon Dykes, George Thomas, Albert Adomah, Dominic Ball and Charlie Kelman, came on for Charlie Austin, Chris Willock, Ilias Chair, Stefan Johansen and Lee Wallace. Coventry replaced Viktor Gyokeres, Callum O`Hare, Tyler Walker, Josh Pask and Josh Eccles with Jordan Shipley, Jamie Allen, Matt Godden, Michael Rose and Gustavo Hamer.

The referee booked Dominic Ball for QPR.

QPR will next play Nottingham Forest away, with Coventry facing Bristol City at home.
