On Saturday, Peterborough United suffer an away defeat to Preston North End at Deepdale. North End arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Huddersfield Town. Peterborough United, on the other hand, are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As it stands, North End are currently 20th with 3 points from 4 matches, while Peterborough United sit in 17th, with 4 points from 4.

North End started strongly in the first half, thanks to Patrick Bauer giving The Lilywhites the lead in the 14th minute to take them into the break 1-0 up. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For North End, Emil Riis and Brad Potts, came on for Scott Sinclair and Sean Maguire. Peterborough United brought on Jack Marriott, Sammie Szmodics and Joel Randall, to replace Siriki Dembele, Harrison Burrows and Josh Knight.

The referee booked Ben Whiteman and Ryan Ledson for North End.
