Preston were held to 1-1 draw by Norwich down on Friday at Deepdale. Preston were looking to get back winning ways after losing 1-0 to Luton Town in their previous fixture. Norwich, on the other hand, secured a point against Blackburn Rovers in their previous match. After today’s result, Preston are in 17th place, with 45 points from 39 matches, while Norwich sit in 1st, with 84 points from 39.

The Canaries started the first half well, with Emiliano Buendia giving Norwich the lead, on 17 minutes to see out the first half 0-1.

Preston took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Brad Potts just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-1.

For Preston, Jayson Molumby, Brad Potts, Anthony Gordon, Sean Maguire and Ben Whiteman, came on for Scott Sinclair, Daniel Johnson, Emil Riis Jakobsen, Tom Barkhuizen and Ched Evans. Norwich replaced Kieran Dowell, Emiliano Buendia, Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell for Marco Stiepermann, Oliver Skipp, Jordan Hugill and Onel Hernandez.

There were bookings for Ryan Ledson from Preston, and Onel Hernandez, for Norwich.

Preston will next travel to Swansea City, while Norwich will face Huddersfield Town at home.
