Preston North End earn hard-fought win over Nottingham Forest 2-1 on Saturday at the City Ground. Forest arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in their previous game. North End were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Barnsley and Coventry City. This left, Forest are in 17th place on the table and has 52 points while North End sit in 13th with 61 points after 46 matches.
Red dogs started strongly in the first half, with James Garner giving Forest the lead, 17 minutes in to see out the first half 1-0.
North End fought back, thanks to a goal from Tom Bayliss at the 53 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Liam Lindsay made it 2-1 at the 67 minute mark with a final score of 2-1.
Forest brought on Alexander Mighten and Glenn Murray for Filip Krovinovic and Lewis Grabban. North End brought on Ben Whiteman, Tom Barkhuizen, Brad Potts and Sean Maguire, to replace Tom Bayliss, Ryan Ledson, Scott Sinclair and Ched Evans.
There were bookings for Brice Samba from Forest. For North End, Ryan Ledson saw yellow.
