Forest 1 – Millwall 1: Red dogs held at home by The Lions

Forest were held to 1-1 draw by Millwall down on Saturday at the City Ground. Forest were looking to continue their run, following a 2-0 victory against Huddersfield Town. Millwall secured a point against Coventry City in their previous match. After today’s result, Forest and Millwall are 22nd, (5 points) and 18th, (9 points), spots respectively, after 9 matches.

Millwall started strongly in the first half, with Matt Smith giving The Lions the lead in the 32nd minute to see out the first half 0-1.

Forest started the second half with an intensified spirit, thanks to Max Lowe finding the net, at 53 minutes. The final result, Forest 1, Millwall 1.

For Forest, Lyle Taylor, Philip Zinckernagel and Alexander Mighten, came on for Lewis Grabban, Joe Lolley and Brennan Johnson. Millwall replaced Connor Mahoney, Maikel Kieftenbeld, Sheyi Ojo and Matt Smith for Benik Afobe, Billy Mitchell, George Evans and Tom Bradshaw.

There were bookings for Tobias Figueiredo and Joe Worrall from Forest, and Maikel Kieftenbeld, Benik Afobe and Danny Ballard, for Millwall.

Forest will play away against Barnsley, while Millwall will face Bristol City at home.
