Forest 1 – Cardiff 2: The Bluebirds cruise past Red dogs at home

Forest on home loss to Cardiff City at the City Ground on Sunday. Forest wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Derby County in their previous game. Cardiff lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Bristol City. Following today’s result, Forest are in 24th place on the table and has 1 point while Cardiff sit in 8th with 11 points after 6 matches.

Red dogs started the game well, with Lewis Grabban giving Forest the lead, at 23 minutes, finishing the first half 1-0.

The Bluebirds continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Rubin Colwill finding the net in the 58th minute. Cardiff then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a 2nd effort from Rubin Colwill after 73 minutes to make it 2-1.

For Forest, Joe Lolley and Alexander Mighten, came on for Philip Zinckernagel and Brennan Johnson. Cardiff brought on Kieffer Moore, Rubin Colwill and Kieron Evans, to replace James Collins, Sam Bowen and Mark Thomas Harris.

The referee booked Will Vaulks, Marlon Pack and Perry Ng for Cardiff.

Forest will next play Middlesbrough at home, with Cardiff facing Coventry City away.
