Forest 1 – Bournemouth 2: Red dogs left stunned by The Cherries at home

Bournemouth strolled past Nottingham Forest with a 2-1 win on Saturday at the City Ground. Forest arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Coventry City. Bournemouth secured a point against West Bromwich Albion in their previous match. As it stands, Forest are in 23rd place, with 0 points from 2 matches, while Bournemouth sit in 4th, with 4 points from 2.

The Cherries started strongly in the first half, with David Brooks finding the net, at 28 minutes to see out the first half 0-1.

Forest started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, thanks to an early goal from Scott McKenna in the 48th minute. Bournemouth in turn, then responded, 58 minutes in increasing their lead with an effort from Philip Billing. The game ended with a 2-1 win for Bournemouth.

For Forest, Alexander Mighten, Lewis Grabban and Joao Carvalho, came on for Joe Lolley, Lyle Taylor and Jack Colback. Bournemouth brought on Leif Davis and Christian Saydee, to replace Emiliano Marcondes and Dominic Solanke.

The referee booked Jack Colback and Scott McKenna from Forest. Bournemouth had the worst of it though, with Chris Mepham and David Brooks seeing yellow, and David Brooks (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Forest will play their next fixture at home against Blackburn Rovers, while Bournemouth will face Birmingham City away.
